Yupik Store  - 1385 Rue de Louvain O, Montréal, QC H4N 1G6: Unauthorised use of COR Symbol

Issue:

Non-kosher products have been inadvertently labelled with the COR 712 symbol.

Anything purchased from this store is not kosher certified even when bearing the COR 712 symbol, until further notice.


Resolution:

Please note that Royal Toast will continue to operate as a non kosher restaurant.

The following health alert is from the CFIA on March 22, 2015.

Sun Rich Fresh Foods Inc. is recalling sliced apples and products containing sliced apples produced in its Brampton, Ontario facility from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. Consumers should not consume and distributors, retailers and food service establishments such as hotels, restaurants, cafeterias, hospitals and nursing homes should not sell or use the recalled products described below.

The following Canadian kashrus advisory is from the COR on April 20, 2015.

Due to manufacturing changes, please be advised that the following Kellogg’s cereals sold in Canada have had a status change from "Pareve" to "Dairy Equipment (DE)":

  • Rice Krispies Multigrain Shapes
  • Brand Buds
  • Corn Pops (all varieties)
  • Froot Loops
  • Mini-Wheat Crunch

One should be in the habit of always checking a product’s kosher symbol to verify its kosher status and designation.

Maxom cookies, product of Russia, were labeled with an unauthorized Badatz "Chug Chasam Sofer" Bnai Brak, Israel certification. This product is sold in Canada and is NOT KOSHER.

Alprose Swiss Baking Chocolate, 300 g with a code of 26.11.14 123310B1 and a UPC of 7 12963 00028 6 has been recalled because of an milk allergen - Milk. It has been distribute in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Quebec
